Math without words is a homepage produced by a team of danish math students, studying to become school teachers. The site is a slideshow of their work with “math without words”.
Math without words is an unconventional teaching method.
To gather experience the team went on an educational trip to Holland during the Spring of 2011. The purpose of the trip was to reflect and compare teaching and learning methods with Dutch math students.
On this site we will describe our experiences with “math without words”. We will share ideas and alternatives to more interesting and cathy teaching methods compared to traditional math teaching.
Our focus is "Mathematics without words". Partly to seek new educational opportunities, but also to ensure that mathematics is a subject in development.
The point is that mathematics could serve as a universal language. This kind of tuition is friendly to language impaired students, as their lack of language skills does not affect their studying of mathematics.
Students are forced to communicate in alternative ways and to use different tools, which encourages creativity among the students. We are ready for development, are you?
